WELCOME

Maybe this is the first time you have sought out counselling or perhaps you’ve considered it a few times. However, now you feel ready to take the next step. Maybe you already know the value of counselling and are ready for more self-exploration. Whatever brings you here, I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your journey.

As a Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist, I truly believe that each individual is the expert in their own lived experience. However, we all have times when we need support and guidance to help us through challenging times. It’s this ability to reconnect with our values and what’s important to us and to do so in a way that feels authentic that allows us to move forward.

Many different things can bring people to seek out therapy. For some, it may be dealing with health-related stress or the strain of parenting and caregiving. Perhaps it’s a personal crisis, anxiety or maybe even living through some challenges at home or at work. Many seek out support around major life transitions and to be supported on a grief journey following the loss of something or someone important to you. For some, who don’t know exactly what’s troubling them, through therapy, we can discover it and tackle it together. I will pull from a range of evidenced based therapies that may include, aspects of Grief and Loss Counselling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Informed Practices, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and the Science of Neuroplasticity, in addition to Brainspotting, Mindfulness, Emotion Coaching, Self-Compassion and Solution-Focused Approaches.

Regardless of what brings you here, we will work together to develop a better understanding of your current situation and how it impacts you in all areas of your life.  Beyond that, we will also work to build a toolkit of ways for you to respond to yourself, your situation and those around you with compassion and warmth while developing new tools for your journey forward.

Please don’t hesitate to connect with me should you have any questions or want to get started.
